A giant iceberg (iceberg) is moving toward the southwestern part of mainland Australia broke into hundreds of small chunks. Hundreds of the iceberg that moved into the warm temperate marine navigation feared disturbing voyage.

Giant iceberg called satellite B17B found approximately 1,100 miles (1.700 km) in the mid-west of Australia last week.

Experts Glaciology Australian Antarctic Division (ADD), Neal Young explained, a giant ice has melted and shrunk from the size of the original. Initially, a large iceberg 140 square kilometer (54 square miles).

A few days after he was found, smaller iceberg the size of a 115 square kilometer (44 square miles) with a length of 18 kilometers (11 miles) wide and 8 kilometers (5 miles).

Giant ice is then broken down into hundreds of small chunks the size of several kilometers wide. Hundreds of ice spread over some 1,000 kilometers (620 miles) in waters near Australia. Australian Bureau of Meteorology warning and announced the voyage. Hundreds of the iceberg when threatened cruise ship hit ice beneath the surface of the water.

According to Young, hundreds of ice will melt because the temperature of the sea or washed up to the east. "I expect this ice will melt," said Young. But he could not specify when the ice was completely melted.

Giant icebergs originated from mainland Antarctica (South Pole) which broke out in 2000. Inland ice broke into two parts, the mainland Ross and Ronne ice. Last month, hundreds of ice also appear in the waters around New Zealand. But the ocean currents and winds pushing the ice moves away from New Zealand to the east.
